Woman Dies After Being Trapped In Car Window

Yulia Sharkom was a 21-year-old mother from Žabinka, Belarus. In August 2019, she tried to pull her two-year-old daughter through the front seat window when the child accidentally pressed the automatic window switch causing the window to close.

The freak accident caused the window to jam, trapping Yulia in the window. She was found unconscious and taken to hospital but tragically died eight days later.

Man Dies From Drinking Too Much Carrot Juice

Basil Brown, a 48-year-old health food advocate from Croydon, UK drank ten gallons of carrot juice in ten days. The juice caused a vitamin A overdose and severe liver damage, turning his skin bright yellow and killing him. Basil had also consumed handfuls of vitamin A pills.

Woman Dies After Being Impaled By Metal Straw

On 22nd November 2019, Elena Struther-Gardner, a 60-year-old woman and retired jockey from Dorset, England died from injuries resulting from carrying a cup. She was carrying a mason jar style drinking glass with a screw top lid and a 10 inch long stainless steel, reusable straw.

Ms Struther-Gardner tripped causing the straw to enter her left eye socket and pierce her brain. Her wife called an ambulance but unfortunately the injury was fatal and Ms Struther-Gardener died the next day in hospital. It was discovered that the metal straw had damaged her brain stem and the tip was touching the back of her skull.
