Night Time by The Strangeloves debuted Jan 66 and peaked at number 30.

Cover versions are by The J Geils Band, George Thorogood and The Destroyers, and Bauhaus. The Strangeloves other time in the top 40 was in 1965 with their number 11 hit, I Want Candy.

The group formed in New York City, and had four chart entries from this, their first, to 1966. Their next two releases made the top 40. Cara Lin peaked at number 39 and Night Time peaked at number 30.

Two of The Strangeloves had previously written The Angles's number one 1963 hit My Boyfriend's Back. They also produced The McCoys' number one 1966 hit Hang on Sloopy.
