Can we talk about the upcoming stranger things spinoff and how it looks painfully AI generated??

I didn’t wanna believe it at first, esp since I heard rumors of the spider verse/KDH animators working on this, but I was really disappointed to see it look like a slopped up version of other media, also resembling arcane and fortnite🥀

They seemed to have worked hard making the close ups look hand-drawn but after analyzing backgrounds and even some facial details, I can say that at least some parts were definitely generated. </3

Notice the warped text and background details that don’t really make sense ??

plus weird limbs and clothing here?? and the hair/eye details don’t fully connect right

Lastly the more emotional facial expressions (something AI consistently struggles with) feel weirdly uncanny and ingenuine..

It’s still early to tell and I don’t think the entire project was generated, it looks like a combination of 3D model rigging, painting and AI.

Regardless, it really sucks to see such a huge franchise ripoff and spit on creatives this way, especially right NOW, and while Stranger Things itself holds a huge message of uplifting uniqueness and authenticity.

duffers and your people, please do better.

you're telling me they're making a show for quite possibly the most BORING part of the series?? between s1 and 2 they could've shown us will dealing with the upside down stuff and el living with hopper, between s3 and 4 they could've shown us how the byers were adjusting in california and how the rest of the party was dealing with their absence and vice versa, between s4 and 5 they could flesh out stuff about the lockdown and crawls but NO we choose between s2 and 3 because look! mileven!!
