He's the prettiest boy ever
It was so fucking easy bro i miss what they could’ve been every day
I’ve seen lots of people talk about Syundei (creator of go for it Nakamura) have some other controversial mangas involving age gap fetishes n stuff but I have yet to come across that content? I love GFIN and I’d hate to have to drop it because of a problematic creator ,,, if anyone has any info to clear that up ??
Bro, wtf, I just found out about the Syundei situation.
Stuff with fetish art is complicated because a lot of what you like in porn, especially drawn/animated porn, doesn't translate into real life. If we're going by that logic, women want to be raped because erotica has a lot of non con, and every tentacle hentai enjoyer is capable of climbing into the octopus exhibit and assaulting the animal. Obviously not.
While I do think that any type of art is capable of being consumed through a simultaneous lens of critique and enjoyment for whatever personal reasons, I do think drawing something like what Syundei did, can imply bad things about your character and is a yellow flag.
Going forward, I do hope certain mangaka do take into account how their work is going to be considered on an international scale if they're going to interact with fans. I believe support for Loli/Shota bullshit was at one point something Japan's more conservative politicians pushed for, so it's not like this stuff is exactly non controversial over there, but feel free to correct if I'm missing nuances. As for Syundei themself, I mean it sucks that they're considering leaving mangaka stuff...but like...not to sound like Tyler the Creator, you can't expect stuff like that to go over well with everyone. If online bullying is enough to make you want to quit, maybe the entertainment industry isn't for you. If this was just some shipper artist, I'd be almost completely on their side, but Go For Nakamura is probably one of the most recognizable BLs worldwide at this point, and the anime is receiving great reviews after being anticipated for several years. By all means, they're winning far more than any of us are.
Personally, I will continue to enjoy the Go For It Nakamura! Anime, as not only do I want to support a bl anime on this large of a scale, but also because it's damn funny, but I will not harass nor look down upon anyone who doesn't feel comfortable supporting the series.
pinterest meme just unintentionally opened my eyes to transfemme simon petrikov and now i can’t unsee it
Just realized the names of two main singers of the Go for it Nakamura intro combine to make the protagonists name :,)
Okoto Nakamura
“is it romantic or platonic meowmeowmeow”

there’s so much allure in the unspoken. I feel like when you put things into words they aren’t fun anymore

Mizu’s gender is revenge
rewatching blue eye samurai and I’ve seen lots of discourse on Mizu’s gender. On the surface they’re just mulan, a girl pretending to be a man for convenience. I also love the idea of Mizu as a trans man because it explains a lot of private moments they had without having to conform in the face of danger.. However have we considered Mizus gender is literally just revenge LMAO. They take the form of whatever gender is most convenient to achieve their goals. (Yes i’m getting at the idea that they’re genderfluid. Agender is also a good option here) because it makes more sense than any other hc i’ve seen. They have close intimate ties to both femininity and masculinity, adhering to either one when it benefits them, and of course that’s aided by the softer basis of being afab. The show features all kinds of archetypes and people including queer folks of the time period, so I really don’t think this is that much of a reach!! The fact that mizu as a character literally does not care how they’re perceived as long as they’re a step closer to reaching the main goal is such a dynamic, complex, and badass way of developing a gnc character. gender = revenge. next question.
This is my favorite thing ever unfortunately
these two shots are so interesting, because they both have this strong red lighting but the one with will seems much more intense and romantic, whereas the one with el seems like a rip off of that lighting, it's more artificial and doesn't have the same energy in it
and then in the one with will, mike's hair is wet and his natural curl pattern is emerging and he looks so much more 𝙝𝙞𝙢𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛, whereas with el his hair is hidden under a beanie and he's literally wearing camouflage
and then his 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, don't even get me started
I am NEVER getting off this bus bro
I'm still on the byler bus 😭
This music 💔🥀 you won’t ever convince me they weren’t planned
