Time travel, soulmate aus, and identity porn for the trope grading ask!

In order!

A: Love it. Spend my time combing AO3 for it.

I mean I'm writing one. I love it when different variations of the same character get to interact with one another.

F: Hate it. Will immediately make me nope out of a fic.

I know you love them but the basic concept of soulmates squicks me out so I always avoid them 😓

C: Neutral. A good author might be able to sell it, but a bad one will kill it deader than dead.

I didn't know there was a term for this! This one can quickly get contrived so it needs a solid plot to support it in my opinion

Time travel: I love time travel AUs!! Especially for HP I read a whole bunch of them back in the day. I think I mostly like the 'back inside your younger body' type, but 'going back to act as a mentor to your younger self' can be fascinating, especially if the time travel aspected/the identity isn't revealed. Anyway, B/A for this one!

Soulmate AUs: answered here!

Identity porn: Haven't read much of this but I'm interested in general! It can lead for fun shenanigans, so I'll give this a B.

Time Travel: B - it can be so much fun, but it leaves me also always a bit confused 😂 and for me it depends on the rest of the plot

Soulmates: D to E - I only like chosen soulmates. I want my ship to want each other carnally and otherwise because they choose to, not because they are forced to by a higher destiny. What would interest me is a fic where A and B have different soulmates assigned to them but still choose each other identity porn: I admit I had to google what it really is - I don't think I have ever read a fic with that trope, so C I would say
