Viking age strap end for a scabbard strap distributor, found in Østfold last season.
We believe this fragment to be a part of a medieval strap end, but other theories are scissors and cutlery handle. It’s made of bronze, but shows signs of ferrous corrosion. Found in Råde, Østfold. It measures 39 mm x 13 mm and weighs 6,6 gram.
