Grace whined and dropped her forehead against your shoulder, small sounds slipping from her lips as she rocked back and forth in your lap.
“You alright?” you asked, a small smile tugging at your mouth even as you focused on the game in front of you. The soft clicks of the controller filled the room.
Grace didn’t answer at first. She only trembled.
Then, quietly, “I-I don’t think I can take any more…”
The words were breathless. You knew that if you looked at her, she’d be flushed and dazed.
Instead, you hummed and shifted your legs.
Her nails dug into your shoulders as she moved again, pressing closer.
“You say that,” you teased, “but you keep going.”
Grace let out a sound that was half complaint, half plea.
“How many was it?” you asked while the loading screen flickered across the TV, your fingers brushing lightly up her spine.
“Four?” You laughed softly. “Going for a record, baby?”
Grace only clung tighter. Her teeth found your neck, nipping sharply enough to make you hiss.
“Hey now. Don’t take it out on me.” Your hand settled against her back. “You’re the one who wanted to sit here while I played.”
A sharp sound escaped her at the mention of it, your name following close behind.
Pretend as you might, this wasn’t easy for you either.
Keeping your hands off Grace never had been.
You half expected her to stop after that. The way she’d melted against you certainly suggested she should.
Instead, little by little, you felt her move again.
A low chuckle slipped from your chest.
“You were only gone a week, Grace.”
The groan she let out was immediate, long-suffering and thoroughly annoyed.
She reached for your face.
The controller slipped from your fingers.
Your hands found her hips automatically.
She kissed you, desperate enough to steal the rest of your attention, and you groaned softly into it.
When she finally broke away, shaking and breathless, your name slipping from her lips as she sagged bonelessly against you, you guided her carefully back against your chest.
“Easy,” you murmured, pressing kisses to her forehead and temple. “You did so good, baby. You pushed yourself enough.”
Grace made an embarrassed little sound.
You smiled, closing your eyes as the quiet of the house settled around the two of you.
