recently i was looking at the scene directly after the administrator’s + zepheniah mann’s deaths, where everybody is leaving one-by-one, and saw that spy stays there the third-longest.

somehow i only just realized he’s there for scout. i mean look at his face here—throughout the whole scene, he looks quietly distressed, but here he literally has to shut his eyes. he clearly isn’t staying because he’s stunned or out of some kind of curiosity, he doesn’t *want* to see, but he only leaves when scout is ready. he has to be there, it’s the least he can do.
