I love the coal miner, Arthur Londonderry, that Arthur goes to collect from. It’s such a short scene in the length of the game, but the way his widow lays into our boy and emphasizes how little is left in her life after his passing is so impactful.
I find myself saying it often with regard to this game, but I wish I had something more poetic to say about it. I wonder if he thought of her when he looked at Dutch for the last time. Did her words ring out in his head in those last moments?
“Arthur gave everything to pay your bills.”
…
“I gave you all I had. I did.”
i wish we had more interactions between swanson and strauss because these two interactions are so funny to me. like what the HELL is their problem i’m crying
