not me only just realising it's called harmless because the reader's a villain, but like...doesn't cause any damage or hurt anyone so they're harmless.

send me voice asks!!!
As a brit, I have no idea what ‘mums’ are and instantly thought you made models of your mothers. I’m -
LOL i’m sorry for the confusion 😂 lemme explain!!
so in texas, for our homecoming week (i have no idea how to explain homecoming i think it’s like celebrating coming back to school and we have a hyped-up football game against our rival school and then dance at the end of the week to celebrate), we celebrate by making these things called mums
“mum” is short for the chrysanthemum, which way back in the day, was the sure fire way to ask someone to the homecoming dance. you would hand them the flower and ask them and then they would wear the flower around at school.
well, you know the phrase “everything is bigger in texas?” we took the chrysanthemum thing and RAN with it, and eventually took it to this crazy level, where a mum is basically this huge huge creative blob of decorative flowers and ribbons and school colors and glitter and stickers, some people even add lights, and if you really wanna piss everyone off some people add bells :-)
now, we have all these traditions surrounding the whole thing, like how only seniors can have all white mums lol
i always appreciate the people who shape theirs into the texas flag or something creative
and of course, the level 100 Texan, someone made a Whataburger (Whataburger is a famous Texas burger restaurant <3) mum
and then here’s mine from my senior year <3 (blocked out my family because the star in this show is ME) mine was pretty simple, and I only used 3 mums instead of the traditional 4 for seniors since i thought it looked like a heart :)
this is probably more than you wanted to know but i lowkey get nostalgic thinking about high school sometimes and mum day was my favorite day of the year 🥺
