stan just sitting in his car, staring at a gas station bottle of some random pills, just silently debating. stan driving to some random cliff over the ocean to just sit and stare. stan drinking himself to unconsciousness just to pretend like he won't wake up. stan, sitting in his car, tired and hungry and cold and alone, his only driving force being spite and the miniscule chance that ford will reach out and save him. post portal, stan just staring up at the portal and thinking about the fact that ford could be gone forever before forcing himself to work again.

Stanford Filbrick Pines Can't Do Basic Math.

I know that sounds clickbait but just here me out, okay? Last year, I was doing some (very easy) math to figure out when Ford went into the portal and came to the conclusion that it was 1985. I was wrong. I took into account the wrong information. Now, I believe that the portal incident occurred in 1983. The point of this is, Stanford Pines doesn't know how to write dates down. Or do 6+5. I'm not sure which one. You might say, "Oh but Strawbz, how did you come to this conclusion?" To that I say, the journal.

The first page of Ford's writing, the first of the 'My Muse' pages, and the second page on 'A Bit of History' are the only pieces of evidence that I need.

On June 18th of 1975, he writes that he's been in Gravity Falls for 6 years. On the 'My Muse' page, he writes that it's been two years since he met the muse. (Bill) If we look at the 'A Bit of History' page, it says that he met Bill in 1981. But if we add 6 to 1975, then we get 1981. However, that's when he says he met Bill. Which is impossible timeline wise. So this is all I got. I don't know what to come of this but the portal incident feeds into my theory/headcanon about Gravity Falls taking place in 2013 instead of 2012 lol Edit for clarification; I don't want confusion for this, I'm joking about Ford not being able to do basic math. Obviously he can do basic math.
