Second commission I got that made me weep. Pink haired gal is Fyurama’s OC Timber, a Water7 native. Fun story Fyu knocked down my door, came into my house and took me hostage and now I'm lost to smol punk girlfriends. This is the most wholesome ship I have known and now she will not be able to pry it from my sticky fingers again. Timber's design is one of my faves out there and her post-skip design is just *chef's kiss*

SMOL BACKSTORY: Taika first met Timber in her Marine days, in a time before the Water 7 arc. Taika thought Timber was very cute, she reminded her a bit of her childhood friend Oz and so she immediately felt comfortable in her company. They were pen pals for a while and grew closer. There was pining. They met again two years later on the oceans and sparks flew! Timber's chaotic and impatient nature balances with Taika's perfectionistic and meticulous traits.

I got the Queen of Clubs. Apparently, the clubs suit symbolises “the season of summer. It signifies the phase of “youth” where one emphasizes on education, irresponsibility etc.“ It also governs the mental realm and the Queen is a mother of knowledge or sth. Sooo that kinda suits Taika! Her head is full of knowledge and she will forever be growing up.

As reference to the traditional face card designs, I went with the upside-down format where you can turn the card around and still have an upright person. This way, I could show (parts of) both her Stampede outfits! I also included the insignia/regalia that the Queens typically have; Crown and Flower – each Taika got one, ofc folded from paper :3c

The crop-top-and-skirt outfit is the carnival/regular stampede outfit, and the oversized-shirt outfit the sporty/chillout one, which i think the Strawhats wear at the beginning of the movie :D

Summer on a winter island. The sky is clear and the stars show, and the cool air and climate reminds her of her time with the Ozians. Of the good times. Home.

★: Who inspires them..

Three people the most:

Oz - because they are literally the embodiment of Life, overcome hardship, carry on, are happy for other people’s sake, because they showed her herself and her dream. 

Luffy - the embodiment of light, ambition despite all odds, sheer willpower, and utter selfish protectiveness. Raw power to improve and defy his limits over and over. 

Gallo Tamako - embodiment of self-control, persistence, while also pure coolness and artistic craziness. Pushing people out of their comfort zone for everything and nothing.

☠ Taika?

☠: Their worst nightmare.

During the timeskip, Tamako often had to wake her up from nightmares. She dreamed of sinking into utter, complete darkness, her bright friends slowly being swallowed up, blinking out of existence, and she would watch helplessly while drowning in pitch-black liquid.

She still gets those since re-uniting, and she'll tend to keep herself up and busy organizing calculations and observations instead of going back to sleep. (Until arms are sprouting her somewhere, dragging her out and tugging her firmly into Mama Strawhat’s side.)
