I don't know... but i feel like crying every time i reached the bottom of this album and then the vocal line singing "I'll follow you into the sun (into the sun)" I just love their voices 😭 it's the best way to end this amazing album. Then going back to the top to Body To Body, Hooligan, Aliens, FYA and 2.0... ugh these songs are so addictive our rap line really did a great job. I really enjoyed listening to this album from top to bottom, no skips. I also love how they arranged the songs in this album! GENIUSES! Thank you Bangtan for giving us good music, we appreciate your hard work. 🙇🏼‍♀️

(i tried to send this earlier and idk if i went through so if it did ignore that i sent this twice) ok i actually have a rant, i don’t know if you’ll agree with everything i say but i actually just need to get this out of my system😭. i’ve been seeing some videos on tiktok of og armies saying stuff like this, “im a 2016 army and this new album is so disappointing, i thought it’d be like wings”.

the first thing i have to say about this is, how can you expect bts to have no musical or artistic progression since 2016? expecting their music to sound the same as it did 10 years ago is crazy considering music trends change and frankly the album would sound out-of-date for the 2026 sound. i love wings so much and i think it was perfect for the time, but arirang is perfect for NOW and truly shows how music trends progress and how their music tastes have changed. i love it!! (plus i feel like they just had so much more fun with this album - having basically full creative control of the songs, its obviously way more personal to them.)

secondly, this album reminds me a lot of a combination of all of the rap lines solo albums — and this is why i think these people don’t like it. HEAR ME OUT!! these people, who complain about the album, usually exclusively listen to hyyh and wings and they don’t understand bts’ true sound minus a small era of their long career. do you ever notice a lot of people on tiktok always vote rm, yoongi and hobi’s solo albums as their favourite, yet they’re somehow the least streamed of all the solos - funny right? these people like the aesthetic of their solo albums and the idea of listening, but they did nothing to stream or vote for them. this is why people don’t like the new album because it is literally a combination of the rap lines solo albums - experimental, rap, even elements of rock. for me, i’ve come to realise these people really have some kind of disdain for rm, yoongi and hobi, that is genuinely why i think people don’t like this new album - there’s too much representation of the rap line for them. people like us, who constantly listen to everyone’s solo albums will understand arirang and see it’s a reflection of everyone’s personal taste and styles in one album and that makes it even more personal and important. moreover, these people say they prefer the ‘old bts’ but this new album just feels like a reimagined version of bts’ early era which was very rap focused, it’s clear they don’t miss old bts but instead have some kind of nostalgia for this short era of their career and determined it was their peak.

thirdly and lastly i’d like to say this, the same people who are hating on arirang for being “too experimental” and “not sounding like bts”, are the same people who hated on their english releases for being “too safe” and “too radio friendly”. simply put, these people cannot be pleased and should just stop talking because we’re all tired of their constant complaining and hate and it’s just so draining. i’m so sick and tired (dis-ease reference) of people acting like bts have changed and they’re no longer “who they used to be”, because they’re the same people aren’t they? they’re simply mad that bts no longer feel the need to please these people and that they can’t be controlled and shaped by social media opinions and the k-pop industry. bts have not changed, they have just found themselves and it makes me so happy seeing how proud they are of this new album because it’s clear they put so much love into it and that it’s truly a reflection of all their hard work and experience in the k-pop industry. in my opinion, we need to stop giving people like that platforms to spread their negativity.

i know i might sound like I’m reaching a bit, but I genuinely do NOT play about bts, but ig we get the last laugh because those miserable haters disguised as army will try and spread their propaganda, and we’ll be over here listening to arirang and living out best lives LOLLLL😭😭✌️✌️

Okay, first of all, I’m reading this long rant while listening to the arirang whole album rn from the start again so let’s see how long I’ll be reading (and replying here) (dont mind the wrong grammar lol)

No cuz, if they actually released a song similar to Wings, those ppl would also say “Do they not have anything else to give?” “All of their songs sound the same” And I think (correct me if I’m wrong) but they once said that during their debut era and getting-noticed era (2013-2015…?) they were thinking if they should stick to one concept. That going to a different genre or staying to their first genre is a common problem with idols and a risky move. Cuz if they stay, they’d be too repetitive, but trying a different genre would be also risky as they won’t be sure how will the ppl react. But they still took that risk. Going from hip hop songs to ballad songs.

And it’s BTS! They’ve always been a diverse group. They like creating different things and putting their souls into them.

Also, if they love Wings so much (like me) then stream it instead of whining🙄🙄🙄 (a win is still a win).

If they don’t like the rapline, they’re not an army. If they can’t love them as seven, why even bother stanning them?? They said it themselves that they love being with each other, on and off cam. And let’s be real, BTS works in harmony. They are each other’s notes in a song. They complete each other. They have always worked like that. They won’t be as big as they are right now if one of them left.

And girl, those leftovers who keep saying “I miss the old bts” never in fact listened to bts. Cuz literally, this is their work. While I was listening to the album (esp the first half), the first thing that came to my mind was *the old BTS*. Cuz the rap??!! Hello?? it’s giving an underground group once again. (Also Aliens kinda sound like a Cypher to me lmao.)

Like—if they truly miss the “old bts”, then shouldn’t they like this album more? Cuz for me, it’s like Dark & Wild but more mature ver idk.

People on tiktok are purely ragebaiters, so ignore them. Keep on streaming, ami!

(I chuckled at the dis-ease ref just sayin) I agree to everything you said. You clocked that😛😛 Tbh, my feed doesn’t have those negative comments anymore cuz either I blocked or I reported them long time ago for the sake of my peace of mind lol. And, it only spreads if big accounts starts posting abt it instead of just ignoring and reporting it.

For me, one of the things we should do to those malicious comments is to email it to hybe/bighit. It’d be a way to protect them in a more legal way.

And also, don’t worry about those kpoppies. BTS is bigger than kpop itself.

I also DO NOT PLAY WITH BTS🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️😛😛 So again, just stream ARIRANG!!!!
