"I used to live in Blood Alley. I lived on the streets of Vancouver for 6 months and then for another 6 months in Victoria.
I had a home. The whole time I did it, it was by choice. I liked it, so I stayed there. Maybe it's because I like the freedom of not having people telling me what to do. People who are on the street, they take conflict and turn it into friendship. They do. One moment, you are angry at each other, then you turn around, you talk and get along."
"Did you ever have to do that?"
"Oh, many times, and believe me, I did not get along all the time. I ended up in the hospital quite a few times beat up. I grew up rough. It was a place of gang members and bikers, people who want to fight all the time. You turn around and can't really help it, you know?"
I'd like to thank all the people who stay true to Vancouver Vibes despite the infrequent posts in the past few months. I've been caught up in my client work lately, but will be working on delivering the stories regularly now. I just want to let you know that all of you and Vancouver Vibes project are very important to me. 🖤
