Orphic Ruin // STRESS WAVES

Extremely chill and soothing dark wave from Brisbane's STRESS WAVES.  This recording reminds me of the sprawling and intricate cityscapes from old Japanese Anime like Demon City Shinjuku and Akira - lots of details blending and moving together.  I was emailed out of the blue by Nick Williams, and we hit it off talking about Japanese animation, shoegazey ethereal music, and general artistic influences.  He's an excellently nice chap, and we have a lot in common.  They're in the process of writing some new music that we'll be releasing on TAHRC soon.  If I were you, I'd sink in to the entire catalog that they've got posted up at stresswaves.bandcamp.com, it's better and warmer than a new Carhartt with the 700 fill!
