STRIP Underarm Waxing
This is a long overdue post, but as they say, it's always better late than never, right? I just want to share my first ever waxing experience with Strip, and the best one so far out of all the underarm waxing I've had in the past. I'm not one to exaggerate, but if it sounds like I'm doing so, it's only because they really are that good.
What I loved most about Strip is their "no double-dipping" policy. Once they dip a spatula into the waxing pot and apply it onto your skin, they immediately throw it away and produce a new one. They do this for hygienic purposes, and I am all for it!
While other waxing salons use cold wax, Strip uses hot. This is because hot wax can remove more hair than cold, even when the hair strand is still quite small. For every season, Strip releases different "flavored" waxes, such as pumpkin for Halloween, cranberry for Christmas, and so on and so forth. For my treatment, I chose to go for the regular waxes - strawberry and chocolate.
Can I just say, I absolutely loved the hot wax, most especially how they smelled! It may seem a little weird (okay - very weird), but that image above of the triple-scooped ice cream basically sums up my strawberry and chocolate waxing experience. They smelled so good, they were almost good enough to eat! But of course, that's pretty much out of the question. Haha.
I expected the hot wax to burn my skin once it touches, but to my delight, it only soothed my senses (literally!) and helped me relax even more. The combination of the wax's smell and feel on my skin was just perfect. And to think that I'd be hair-free after this treatment capped off an evening well-spent!
Once the treatment was done, I actually felt disappointed. The experience was so good and so relaxing, that I wanted it to last even longer! I had to keep reminding myself that I wasn't in a spa or a massage parlor, but a waxing place. Add the hip music that was playing in the background during the treatment - try Strip out for yourself and you will see what I'm talking about. Once you've done so, you'll understand that these aren't exaggerations, but merely facts.
But of course, would you expect anything less from the Ministry of Waxing?
