See! It was always the writers intentions to bring Ward back. They just took their time with it so the timeline would be realistic. Because after what Ward did (which was really really bad, let’s not sugar coat it), the writers had to give the team the chance to be angry, grieve, and get “payback” before they could ever accept Ward back into the team. Him rejoining had to be after things simmered down and the team had had the chance to move on.

Yes, Ward is the most flexible character atm, but he’s also an original character (not from the comics) and generally disliked with the common viewer. He’d be the worst and most unlikely candidate for the spin off. Meanwhile, characters like Bobbi Morse, Lance Hunter (S.T.R.I.K.E.), or the Inhumans would be perfect for a spin off.

Secret Warriors is a possibility, but also incredibly unlikely as 1) Samuel L. Jackson is too famous to be in an ABC TV show (they could probably pull off Netflix), and 2) Skye is too essential to A.O.S. to ever leave. I could see Secret Warriors being a Marvel movie eventually. That way Marvel could actually get ahold of Fury and Skye could still be in A.O.S.

i just watched the trailer for daredevil, and it’s nothing like any marvel movie or show we’ve seen before. it feels so much like the dark knight movies. but then we got this line

“maybe if he had an iron suit or a magic hammer that would explain why you keep getting your asses handed to you”

and it reminded me THIS IS STILL THE SAME UNIVERSE. it still takes place within the MCU. that’s insane.
