If you like the original Juicy Lucy, try these Juicy Lucy Stroganoff Burgers instead. They are stuffed with Swiss cheese and topped with a creamy mushroom and onion sauce. They're great for a barbecue in the backyard or dinner during the week.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 slices Swiss cheese. 4 hamburger buns. 1/4 cup sour cream. 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce. 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms. 1/4 cup diced onions. 2 cloves garlic, minced. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. In a bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form 8 thin patties. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on 4 of the patties. Top with the remaining 4 patties and seal the edges to create stuffed burgers. Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Make sure the cheese is fully melted inside. While the burgers are cooking, saut the sliced mushrooms and diced onions in a pan until they are tender and slightly caramelized. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or two until they're slightly crispy. Spread sour cream on the bottom half of each bun. Place a stuffed burger on each bun, then top with the sauted mushrooms and onions. Add the top bun and serve hot. Enjoy your Juicy Lucy Stroganoff Burgers!
