The Night the Glass Almost Shattered
Last night, 27 May 2026, the wind blew very strong. Not sure how fast it was. At first, I didn't see any updates. Later, when the strong wind happened, I started to browse official announcements from the authorities. I saw some info about strong winds at the Pacific Ocean, I mean just southeast of the Philippines, and it made sense that the wind also could be felt at our country, on Borneo island. So, suddenly my nephew knocked on my door to tell me that one of our glass windows almost fell after the strong wind blew. It was good that our window had a steel shield so the window did not fall down to the ground; so it was secured and not broken. While today in the late evening, I saw a post on social media, a recording from a CCTV from a resident in the Labuan Federal Territory. The wind blew, I guess, even stronger than it did here as they are on an island and very exposed. I hope everyone is ok.
