MILKA. Because of you I randomly picked The 100 the other day when looking for something to marathon on Netflix, then watched all of season one in about two days. SO MANY TEARS.

strongpieces replied your post If I were to do an October Daye cosplay for SDCC this year… is there anything I could wear that would be really distinctive as Toby?  So other fans would see it and say “OMG YOU’RE TOBY!”  I mean, there’s Tybalt’s leather jacket, but yeah, unless I coat it in cat hair (which would make Mr Fangirl sneeze a lot)…

I don’t have advice but I do have squee! I’m only two books in but love it so far.

Aren't they amazing? I haven't been reading as much lately, but as soon as a Seanan McGuire book comes out, I jump all over it and devour it in one sitting. The Toby books are SO good.

hitchhiker's guide was a letdown (sorry gabs; the book was so good and the movie was ... nothing like the book. i know you haven't seen it yet, but yeah)

so that leaves another earth (which i already have downloaded; been sitting in my folder for months now), source code and moonrise kingdom (is there a download yet? last time i checked there wasn't)

seeing as more than one of you suggested i see another earth and i already have it - another earth it is! :)

The 11 Questions I Answered (from the-renner-lunge):

1. Who is your ultimate celebrity crush and why?

Renner, of course.  I'm a fickle fangirl and my crush changes every year or so, but right now?  Renner all the way.

2. If your answer to 1. were to take you out, where do you think they would take you/where would you most want to go? 

Hmm.  Well, I do have a well-developed fantasy about taking a road trip up the west coast with Renner, so I'm going to go with that. :D  There will be a stop at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  Because aquariums are awesome.

3. What is your favourite flavour of ramen noodles?

Chicken.  I'm boring.  Though I did like those amazingly spicy Nongshim ones, but my husband nixed those.  He doesn't dig stuff that's too spicy.  I am left with my Sriracha.

4. If you could only use one utensil to eat with for the rest of your life, which would you choose from the following: spoon, fork, knife, chopsticks (not sporks allowed)? why?

Chopsticks.  I can eat pretty much anything solid with them (it always weirds out waiters at Chinese restaurants that I ask for chopsticks and my husband doesn't; I'm the whitest white girl ever and he's Hawaiian-Japanese), and if something's too liquidy to scoop up on chopsticks, I'll just turn the bowl up and drink it.  Cereal will be a pain in the ass, but oh well.

5. If you had a time machine, what decade/time period would you most want to travel to (regardless of the ‘space-time continuum’)?

Oh gosh.  Just for sheer spectacle, I'd like to go to ancient Egypt and see the pyramids and temples as they were.  There's pretty much no time period that I'd actually like to live in, though.  I'm totally fine with being contemporary. :D

6. What holiday do you most look forward to every year?

Halloween!  I adore Halloween, even though I don't get the chance to dress up anymore.

7. Which archer do you think would win in an archery battle to the death: Katniss Everdeen, Hawkeye, Legolas, or other [please specify]? 

Hm, tough one.  They're all good, but in the end, I think Legolas will win.  He's an Elf, so he's more agile and has greater stamina than either of the humans.

8. What is your favorite book/series of books?

The Harry Potter series, closely followed by the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire.  HP for the sheer number of times I've read it and that I can still read it and get completely lost in the world, and Toby Daye because OMG, guys, IT IS SO GOOD.  If you haven't read it, you absolutely should.

9. What is your most overused phrase (on tumblr or in real life)? 

Um... maybe "c'mon!"  My hubby laughed at me the other day and said I sound like G.O.B. from Arrested Development.  So now I just say it more.

10. What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

African or European?

11. Why do you think british people are always cast as evil people in american movies?

American audiences have developed a Pavlovian reaction to British accents.  It's either evil or it makes us drop our panties.  While I'm frustrated with the "British is villain" trope, I'm totally okay with the panty-dropping.
