Clayton: Hey, Whitney, who’s that little boy who lives with you guys, must be another little brother of yours?

Whitney: “uhhh, no, um he’s not my brother...”

Clayton: Then who is he then?

Whitney: -blushing- he’s my son, with my ex-boyfriend, Tige Waite. 

Clayton: Did you just say, “Tige Waite” ?

Whitney: Yeah...him and I....

Clayton cut her off...

I think we should end this date early, Whitney...I forgot I need to be home and babysit my moms....plants..yeah...

Whitney knew that this was unsettling to Clayton, but she couldn’t be with someone who couldn’t accept her son, or her past for that matter. 

Tige had actually been writing her to see if he could see his son, which would be at the next birthday which was tomorrow. Whitney asked to just be friends with Clayton. 

She set her sights on possibly talking to Tige and seeing where things go at the party.
