Enjoying this restorative process. It's not soon depth that it feels like a drain or a waste of money or time but it's big enough to take up a lot of time and I think it's s perfect project to start the year with - I'm excited about my new morning self-care rituals and my nighttime self care rituals... I feel like making myself a priority and learning to treat myself the way I'd like to be treated by others is an important but real good twist on the golden rule. Especially if you've ever suffered self harm or self hatred, self loathing. Lifting up those rusty layers and getting to the root neglect and cause of these consistent patterns of negativity that make us feel trapped is so important and huge to really renew, clean and restore our personal bones to pure acceptance and worthiness of love and bliss and compassion and understanding. When we know we have a have a birthright to these things and a sort of militant duty, so to speak, to protect those things we know we have a birthright to - then we are really taking the first step to creating honest and true friendships with ourselves and others. Then we can see what we have manifested in our current situation by past feelings of unworthiness, lack, and so on. Then, when a situation comes up where you feel compromised or undervalued or just completely berated and dissed, you can have the strength to back up and go "hey - I'm sharing a different opinion, not getting personal." Then you can walk away, reassess, and if you need to remove yourself from a toxic pattern of behavior or thinking - just do it! You can walk away from a bad or toxic feeling feeling and you owe nothing to anybody but honor to yourself for trusting your intuition. This is my mantra for the year. In some way, I will honor it in every aspect of my day. I want to finish the dishes. I want to clean the floors. I want to clean the walls/dust/etc. I want to put away all my clothes. I want to finish putting shelf liner in the kitchen. I want to finish putting the photos in their online albums. I want to finish writing out everyone's cards with our new address and pictures and send them, with links to the favorites online archives so everyone can see her adorable growth and our beautiful experience of childhood, parenthood, and beautiful union 😍 I want to finish my many book projects and creative projects, and update all my blogs and create a new format to access all of my growth in one place/way... But I am going to make some more #tea. I'm going to do a self-live tarot reading to see where I am failing in my journey to personal development and empowerment 😍 and I'm going to enjoy some meditation and yoga before cleansing rituals and bed. 2017. Is all about self care for me. I know I can be a much happier and more fulfilled person and enjoy all of my relationships and discoveries more by tuning in to and respecting and drawing wisdom from my growth and ability to learn and be humble and also to give and create and be powerful. Journaling, friendship, family, tea, yoga, meditation, Pinterest, creativity and magickal-spiritual work and explorations and divining and discoveries are all rituals of self care and nurture our soothe our souls and our core being, and when we intentionalize and integrate magick into our life (something I used to be way more active and vocal about and I've sort of fallen off the wagon for a while but I'm getting back on again more frequently and with much greater clarity and respect) we start seeing our growth and our struggles much more empathetically and in a way that cultivates respect and trust with ourselves, and therefore ultimately with others as well. . #theconsciousparent #thecontinuumconcept #ppd #ittakesavillage #postpartum #ppp #postpartumdepression #sadmama #strugglingmama #momswhohurt #momswhofeel #empoweringParenthood #postpartumanxiety #ppa #loveyourself #theartofslowliving (at Fairfield, Iowa)

Mess. Cleaning. A HUGE waste of time and a huge lesson learned. I'm super thankful for trump because he has shown who I'd like to really keep out of my life. There is something in me to learn from this. It's discretion. Discretion, for me, is to stay the hell away from lying, cheating, skuzzy people who smile in your face and tell you they "unfollowed" you for political reasons aeons ago when you've only been "friends" for a couple weeks. Color me disengaged. Color me a liar. Color me someone who doesn't know how to keep my mouth shut and stay out of flies' nests. Thankful for my REAL fam on here. The ones who don't pour poison down my ears n throat and tell me it's good for me and they're being honest, telling me what I need to hear: I know the truth. I've been blind until now but these people were using me for numbers, using me for some bizarre social leverage, and actually gave NO SHITS about me as an individual or my fam... #byefelicia. Totally over the haters. I'm all about open respectful discussion but when you and your crew I DONT EVEN KNOW start leveling accusations at me as a fucking human being? Bitch please. I love shadow work - all day every day, anytime at all. But don't judge me and gossip about me and smile in my fucking face. You tell me how you feel. This is why I love everybody. EVEN SHITTY PEOPLE. Because it gives me leverage to go to their face and speak my truth. That I love them, respect them and what they bring to the table - that I wish I could help them see something my way. But when I do that and I am met with ridicule and shame and aggression and flat out hate - I don't have time for you, personally in my consciousness.
