Those were the simpler days. Nakakamiss tong mga taong to. Pati yung nagpicture at mga nasa likod ng camera. Lalo na din yung di pa ako ganun kataba dito. 😂

Sorry, I was unable to commit to the promise to write weekly updates about my senior year in school. See? That was how hectic and stressful it had already been, and it was just the third week of school when we finished.
I accidentally deleted the sound software on my laptop again because I was trying to uninstall some applications to free up space, as my thesis is very memory-intensive. I have to do three backups because, you know, trust issues. In short, I could not continue transcribing interviews because I do not have sound software. I will do it the hard way by transferring files to my phone and listening from there.
It’s going to be our retreat too this week (09/06-07/16), so that means fewer days for doing requirements. I don’t know if I’m happy about it or sad, because I really need more time for this week’s workload, but at the same time, I need some space because it has been very toxic lately.
I can’t wait to finish school already so I can work flexibly. I. Can’t. Wait.
Last year in College!
And just like that, the first week of my senior year has just ended! 35 more weeks to go, and I will bid St. Scho goodbye. But wait, I’m being too fast right there.
Anyway, why am I suddenly blogging about school?
Starting today, if time permits, I will blog weekly about my whereabouts in College since it’s my last school year. Additionally, to share some experiences that others will have in the future.
My workload this semester is quite heavy, especially with the thesis underway. I’m referring to the weight of the subjects themselves, not the number of subjects I have. My schedule has lots of free time. I spend most of my time outside school rather than on campus. I used to love long breaks and early dismissal when I was still on the first leg of college, and now that I’m in the last, I despise it so much.
Of all my subjects (Photojournalism, Filipino III, Law of Mass Media, Audio-Visual Production, Investigative Journalism), I’m most anxious about Investigative Journalism. When I was interning at The Manila Times, I gained some background knowledge about Investigative Reports and how they are conducted, and I’m going to tell you, sobrang madugo. It’s like starting a new thesis on your own all over again.
I’m just starting, but the first week as a senior was draining as I expected it to be, but I prepared myself well enough for this, and I know I’ll get by. I’ll leave you with this.
Until next week,
H.
