hey can I confess something? I've been reading your fanfic STTMH and I can't help but see Classic as Dream, Nightmare, Ink and Error's adoptive dad. Like he has that energy in the flashbacks you know? I feel like the villagers from DreamTale would definitely have some assumptions seeing as Classic, Dream and Nightmare look, well exactly the same.
I specifically do not put a label on Classic's relationships with his nighttime friends so the readers can make their own connections, whether it be familiar, friendship, a mentor/mentee, or anything else~!
And yes- most of the villagers saw Classic as either an older brother or a father to the twins. It infuriated a few of them, because it was well known Nightmare and Dream weren't normal monsters, and they had their respective associations: negativity with Nightmare and positivity with Dream. So where did that leave Classic? Was he another spirit given a monster-form, or was he something else?
There were plenty of villagers that feared him, and it helped many of the villagers give the twins their space! It helped that Classic sometimes called out his Blaster to play with the twins.
I saw your ask and my brain immediately conjured an image, and I had to draw it. Cue three drafts and constantly looking up what specific bones look like and boom. Here we go.
*throws chocolate at you, hoping that it, too, will be sent into the anti-void for error’s enjoyment*
STTMH Drabble
Classic stirred from his nap and stretched his limbs out to try to rid them of the agony of sleeping on the bare, non-existent floor. He rolled his skull as he sat up, the blankets underneath him shuffling with his weight. The bare expanse of nothing spread out around him, broken only by the vibrant blankets scattered about. Groggily, he glanced to the side and sighed, crestfallen.
Patch had not budged since Classic wrapped him in the softest lavender blanket he could find. The blanket reached his jaw, slightly obscuring the smudge on his face. He looked comfortable enough.
Classic shuddered as he glanced at Patch's sockets. They were always steady in their position, never flickering or reacting to anything. Devoid of all life, they were horribly empty.
Classic wished Patch would show some sign he was alive. A twitch of a finger or a turn of the head- anything. Instead, he stared at the ground, his face as expressionless as when Classic had first met him.

Classic was getting desperate. It was his third time here, and each time, he felt himself going a little more crazy with no one to talk to. He learned after the first visit to bring something to entertain him, and due to the indeterminate amount of time Classic would spend with Patch for each visit, plus the lack of electricity or internet, Classic settled on books.
Most of which had been read before his nap and placed to the side.
Classic adjusted himself and leaned toward Patch, nudging the skeleton's shoulder, more out of a formality than anything. "ya know, it'd be great if you would talk back," he joked, watching carefully for any movement. After Patch made none, he scooted to lay some weight on Patch's back. Patch bounced a bit as he adjusted and straightened again.
"you like the blankets? i tried to get the brightest ones i could find, seeing how this place is all white." Classic cast a glance around them.
"i debated buying this banana yellow one, but it was so neon, you'd think it was made of neon. nah, i put that one back. think i did a pretty good job."
He glanced at the pile of books next to them and grabbed one of the smaller ones- one of his old joke books he brought up from the Underground. "wish you could tell me what kinda books you'd like. you don't seem all interested in reading, but i bet we could find something you would enjoy. i could read it to ya. i used to do it all the time with my bro. he still asks me to read to him sometimes. he has this old human picture book about bunnies- would that interest you? i could probably borrow it for a night."
Patch did not respond. He never did.
Classic flipped through his book, eyelights skimming over the pages lazily. He knew most of the jokes by heart, but there was something comforting about the crinkle of the pages- the result of Classic having spilled coffee on it an inexplicable amount of time ago.
"how about jokes, then?" Classic asked, flipping to a random page. "i happen to have some of the best jokes humanity's ever come up with in the palm of my hand here. wanna give it a shot?"

Hi! Asking about SSTTMH,
Does nightmare like or despise apples?
Specifically, Nightmare despises the shape of apples. They're at the root of his memories of his transformation- the culmination of his suffering.
He is not afraid of apples, but their shape unconsciously reminds his soul of his pain. He is often very calm when dealing with them with nothing more than a scowl and command to get them out of his sight. However, he doesn't dislike the taste of apples.
So long as he doesn't see them raw, he's fine with them.
((This isn't that hard for the Gang to pull off, since Nightmare rarely visits the pantry.))
That reblog of yours with the error being pat made me really want to reply with, "hit him with the chair, Classic!"
Then realized that would make no sense to the person who made the art :')
