Ticket resale cap isn’t sticking
Ontario recently introduced a price cap on ticket resales, meant to limit how much sellers can mark up tickets above their original value. The rule is designed to protect buyers from extreme price inflation in the secondary market.
Despite that, resale platforms like StubHub are still showing listings that appear to exceed the province’s new limits. Some tickets are being offered at prices well above what the law allows, raising questions about how effectively the rules are being enforced.
The situation highlights a gap between regulation and real-world practice, especially when platforms operate across different regions and rely on third-party sellers. It’s not yet clear how strictly the province plans to crack down or how compliance will be monitored going forward.
Observation: It feels like one of those policies that sounds firm on paper but gets a lot messier once it runs into the internet.
does anyone know if stubhub is reliable?? i wanna see 5sos this summer and don't wanna pay outrageous ticketmaster prices lol
So I tried to get tickets during the Ticketmaster sales multiple times but I didn’t have any luck. I kept getting queue numbers around 30-40k. Anyways, I ended up buying some tickets from StubHub instead. I’m bummed about ticketmaster and I really think there was a better way to do the sale, but I’m trying not to dwell on that…I’m just happy that I’m hopefully going to see Harry. ☺️ (I’ve only seen him once before).
I'm glad you got tickets. Even if it was through Stubhub. You'll have an amazing time. Personally, I think making a decision about tickets (buy resale, wait and hope for more tickets to be released, give up), and then letting the rest go is the only way to have some peace. But everyone has their own process with this sort of thing.
Hi Gina! Is Stubhub a legitimate site to buy harry styles tickets?
It is. I've used them a number of times and never had any issues. I'm sure there are people who've bought fake tickets from them, but they at least will refund your money.
It's been a while since I used them, though. Perhaps they've improved the ways in which they discern real tickets from fakes.
Don't give up yet, though. General sale is on Friday. And knowing Ticketmaster, they're bound to suddenly discover more tickets to sell.

Has anyone ever used Seatgeek or Stubhub? Are either of them worth it?
