Stuck smack dab in the middle of the first real trouble I’ve gotten into on a trip. I’m currently stuck in a foot deep of sand with an over heating engine. If anyone knows someone in the Joshua Tree area with a truck to pull me out, I’m by the south entrance to the park, east off cottonwood springs road on the power line access road. GPS (33.6737150,-115.7520290) I came for some blm land and all I got was some fml, man. It’s getting dark out so I’ll try some more tactics tomorrow. Luckily it’s pretty out here. While on the hunt for the elusive leopard, our safarimobile got stuck.  Good thing Alex and Stan cross-fit because they needed all the brute force they could get.  Unfortunately after getting the truck unstuck twice, it met it's final resting place for the day and we got to take an impromptu bush-walk to the rescue truck.  Always an adventure with this group.

BTW. Lisa and I were on lion and leopard lookout the entire time.  Gets a lot scarier when you're on foot :-/
