Student Coupons is testing National Brand Speed Sales last/this week. Picture a Groupon but exclusive to students, delivered to the phone and expiring quickly then coming back on randomly, announced via Facebook.

The conversion numbers were out of this world better than I expected:  

Old Navy $5 for $15 vouchers Conversion rate of 12%

Fandango $5 for $10 vouchers Conversion rate of 10%

Starbucks $4 for $10 vouchers Conversion rate of 19.7%

Flash Deals on College Campuses

We are in the process of testing different monetization methods for one of our latest ventures -- Student Coupons, we have been working with local vendors to put out flash deals where students receive a text message they opted-in for and have a finite period of time to redeem a deal. We have had a good deal of early success with this method and are excited about testing it more as we roll Student Coupons out to all college campuses in the US over the coming months.
