Exams are over

Post exam I feel tired haha but nervously awaiting my results the OSCE went okay I forgot a few things but overall I think It went okay :) Now I just have to gather myself start tidying my house (because damn it gets messy around exam time haha) and prepare for my last week of urology scrub and last week of placement in my first year within the next few weeks I will post reflecting about my first year and what it entailed and how it went. Now however I must get back to tidying and ignore the blistering sunshine pouring through my windows!

OSCE today + one week of placement and then I am free for 3 weeks ( I'm going home to Ireland for one of them!) So the OSCE I feel okay about it because the stations are set up to mimic clinical practice which I enjoy. I'm nervous because I've never done an OSCE before any last minute tips would be appreciated so its around 45mins complete with real people acting as service user which will be weird and it's not till late afternoon so ill be sitting twiddling my thumbs for a few hours yet :( See you guys on the other side eeesh

Mode not moods

2 weeks to go on my first year of my odp training (I just have an OSCE and presentation but this heat is killing my motivation mode and undeservedly puts me in procrastination mode) and then onto the 2nd year we already have some material for next year starting with pathophysiology (yay!) But I'm looking toward my break really I'm on holiday mode already.

Just a quick note to say ....

I'm terrified, starting my scrub placement today (in urology) it's a mixture of being scared and intrigued. I'm looking forward to it however its going to be weird not doing anaesthetics (cause I seriously love it like, really!) and I wish I had more time to write posts ATM. I have coming up; exams OSCEs and presentations and finally get to finish in August before I'm back in September haha ;(( anyways need to crawl out of bed now ...

So I'm in uni today and it's a welcome break from placement and all the emergencies and traumas and new experiences I have had (that I haven't had a chance to write about like the AAA, ruptured spleen and an organ retrieval just to name a few!) so now I have a couple of days at uni and then the rest of the week to catch up on my mammoth workload! And blogging! So watch this space ;)
