Student Pick - Yang Gao

  (Each fortnight, we showcase a recommendation from one of the students in the Society for something to do or see in Liverpool. Featured in the February 14th 2011 newsletter)

                                      "Samba (dance and drum) Class in the Black-E: An excellent way to keep fit, meet new people, learn something new and make Mondays less boring. You can learn sexy moves of samba dancing and play all kinds of drums in a big band. It's in the Black-E (next to the Chinese Arch), 7:30-8:30pm (dance) and 8:30-10:30pm (drum) every Monday, free for first 12 weeks. There's also a samba (drum) workshop every Saturday 2:30-4:30pm, completely for free. All instruments are provided and beginners welcome."

'Liverpool Ferry Trip: A very good way to enjoy the waterfronts of Liverpool and spot the "three graces". You can also see the estuary in the far horizon, with giant wind turbine generators. It's £5 for unlimited trips across in one day.'
