I feel really good today. I came home from college early and had time to workout.
I did 20 minutes of beginner yoga to stretch and warm up. I’ve never really tried yoga before and wasn’t really sure how it worked. But I found a really good video on YouTube for beginners yoga. I’m going to go through the same page to see other videos they have that I can try. Basically, I really wanted a good warm up/stretch before beginning my workout because warmups are extremely important and you should never skip them. It really helped me in the next full body workout I did. This was a 15 min full body workout on pop sugar fitness page on YouTube. It was good because the only thing you needed was a mat (even that wasn’t absolutely necessary) and a chair. It was okay but I didn’t love it. I didn’t have enough time to find something else and will probably try tonight to find a workout for tomorrow.
I wasn’t absolutely exhausted after a workout which is good. This isn’t actually Day 1 of exercising its day 2. I did a workout a day before as well but it was very very light so I’m not counting it. I’m really properly motivated to do this. I can’t go through another six months of back aches, neck aches and having zero energy. Now that I have the workout out of the way, I took a nap (which was too long and completely unnecessary) and now I’m working on a personal statement for the university I’m applying to. I’m actually motivated to revise as well, which is good because I have a habit of leaving stuff to the last minute.
I’ll link the videos I used below in case anyone is reading my dumb blog (lol). If you are, feel free to message me and give any advice and tips you have to stay fit as a student.
