Long time no see! Life has been sooo hectic... I also got hit by some pretty hefty writer’s block. I think I’ve got it figured out now, and hopefully with Thanksgiving break I’ll be able to make another chapter or two go up. Again, really sorry about the hiatus. But here’s a sneak peak at some of next chapter!
“Ya didn’t really think I wouldn’t miss ya, didya?” A drawl similar to Jason’s soothing, but much higher pitched, and a jovial feel to it.
“I had hoped you would find us, but I wasn’t sure.” Hushed whispers in response, a solemn tone.
“Course I would! I’ll always come for my Pam-a-lam!”
A contented hum, “how did you even get out?” a pause, and Tim can hear fabric shifting and soft movements. “Are you alright? You’re bleeding.”
“Oi, sit yer pretty self down now Pammy, Ah know you’re still feeling that nasty spray, doncha gimme that look.” Another pause, and the fabric stops, and weight settles in a chair or some other piece of furniture. Tim’s not awake enough to distinguish it. “Nah, you know me Pammy, a Harley Quin takes her lickin’s and keeps on tickin’s!”Tim can hear her laugh, she laughs hard enough it ends with a snort, and Tim’s lips quirck at the edges, she’s had that laugh for as long as he can remember seeing her. Tim knows he should probably open his eyes, start making noises to let them know he’s awake, but he wants to enjoy the last few minutes of bliss he has, before he has to face reality.
“Now then, tell me about this small fry you found? I know ya like kiddies, but there oughtta be a limit! Yer gonna be worse than Batsy at this point!”
Hah! Tim doesn’t think that’s possible at this point. As far as he knows, Tim is the only one Dr. Isley had ever truly cared about. Sure, she will help the lost or meandering, hungry child, but most don’t stick around for long.
“This one isn’t a new one Harles, take a closer look.”
