Setting Intentions

It took me a long time to adjust to the culture on Twitter. Analogously, I'm certain that I have much to learn about Tumblr before I can make posts that resonate with the platform. This was in part because when I arrived on Twitter I'd been absent from social media in large part for about five years. Unsurprisingly, in my absence social media culture had continued to evolve and the personality quirks I'd developed were impressively different from the ones my peers had developed. I'm fortunate for the distinct flavor this gives my Twitter; I'm hopeful that I can adapt my writing again to develop a distinct voice for this platform too.

In the interim that it takes me to absorb the culture here, my goals are to develop my thoughts here in more detail than I can on Twitter. There, I sometimes talk about my interests, but Twitter is a difficult place to develop an entire argument. I'd really like to clarify my arguments here so that I have a repertoire of excellently-composed thoughts that can be combined and strung together into essays once I've refined their arguments.

If at some point I discover I have friends here, who knows, maybe I'll write out longer journal entries or whatever. I won't start too emotional yet so I
