12 months ago I walked into my first @polarisenewcastle aerial hoops class full of nerves, unsure if I’d like it, sure I’d be terrible, desperately hoping I could do at least one of the moves, and I found my group of people. In all my years of sports participation, in everything from swimming and tennis to gymnastics to horse riding, I have never known a more supportive, friendly, encouraging group of people. They cheer when you get a move regardless whether it’s your first attempt or you 1000000th attempt, they encourage you to keep trying when you don’t get a move, they offer to take photos and videos (and encourage you to take them more often), they help you and offer advice, and they laugh with you when you fail, fall and get back up. I cannot thank Bailey, Sarah-Kate and Chelsea enough for all their encouragement and help. I may not be where I want to be, or where I had hoped I’d be at the 12 month mark but I am getting better little by little and I don’t care if I stay this level until this time next year, this is my ‘me’ time, and I am so thankful I found this wonderful, quirky little community ❤️❤️❤️ #studentsofpolarise #polarise #aerial #hoops #aerialhoops #lyra #learning #love #fun #fit #1yearanniversary #fitness #weightloss #strength #fails #laughter #learn #flexibility #gymnastics #metime (at Pol-arise Newcastle) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0VbPwXFanj/?igshid=12xh01fjapjmg
