Goodmorning 🌞 Third day off from work = study day for me. Yesterday evening I ended up reviewing about 90 vocabulary words. Did you know how to say day off in Korean? Apparently it's 휴일. I am on 휴일 right now hehe but this week is going to fly in a blink of an eye, I feel that. 🥲 After waking up at 9 I came to the library to study two hours. Then I might be back in the afternoon for a second round. Focusing on grammar this morning ☺ By the way these are some bookmarks I made about one year ago and have used them in my KGIU books since then 💜 This morning I also saw that the dvd of MAP OF THE SOUL O:NE concert is available for preorder. I don't know what to do, I watched/attended the online live concert the last year and thought that I would really wish they made a dvd of that concert, the performances were incredible. Not to mention I was supposed to go to Seoul and attend BTS concert on April 19th that same year if it wasn't for covid, so that online concert for me means a lot. But the dvd is so pricey I know I should cut off some expenses, I really don't know what to do 🥺😭

Let's talk a little bit about my self-learning experience, shall we?
I am glad I ended up signing up for 세종한국어 class. I was not sure whether to do thay or not, but it was actually cheap so I thought to give it a try. And I can say it's totally worth it.
I believe three years ago - before COVID - there was not such thing as online group lessons (not that I was aware of at least), so I remember how much I struggled with finding the right resources for studying Korean.
It took me several months to find what would work the best for me, and I ended up doing the 5+6 courses on Coursera, which really gave me a great start (I know that now they added new courses but two years ago there were just these two: "First Step Korean" and "Speak Korean).
Now with the increasing popularity of Korea (thanks to kpop and kdramas), more and more people are getting interested in this beautiful language and fascinating culture, thus I am happy to know that there are new resources available for aspiring Korean language learners.
After Coursera I switched to @ttmik and mostly studied from the Korean Grammar in Use (beginner) grammar book.
However now I feel the urge to improve quickly, so I am trying to rely on other different resources too.
With my big surprise I was placed on level 6 (= 3B) when doing the language test at the Sejong Institute website, so now I have been attending 세종 level 6 course. The online course started in mid September, it takes place twice a week, two hours per lesson, and we are about 15 people in my class.
It is surely a challenge because it is different, in the past 10 months I had only done 1:1 language sessions with a tutor, but I feel this would also turn out helpful. In addition to that, I am studying Korean at uni at last, so I really hope to see even greater improvements by the next Summer
Finally got these!
I loved the drama a lot even though it was kinda cliché, so I decided to buy the 만화 to practice my Korean reading ~~

I believe getting this keyboard in Korean has been a great investement - unfortunately it was kinda tricky to make my BT21 keyboard work with my iPad (needed a connector for that); also this one is super slim and I believe it is perfect to use with my MacBook!

Come vi preparate?
