ECLIPSE PRINT-A-THON DAY!
This past monday I went a little overboard in the studio. I was out in Illinois to see the eclipse and had a lot I wanted to work with. I couldn't sleep the night before and had to get something made~ (kind of like that "the voices!" meme.) I intended to do 3, that turned into 5, and a ghost for each, and I remembered on the third ghost that I could work into them after pulling the monotype. Then I rolled with it until my mind went blank! I ended with 16 prints: 8 Monotypes, and a ghost for each! Some of them I think I like their ghosts more, plus they have a spooky name~ Can’t wait till they dry and I can upload em properly. ---- Monotype Prints 14 x 22 Ink on Paper 2024 ~Age
It's almost the end of day 2 in the studio!
Both yesterday and today have been very productive! So far we've got a good 40-60% of what we want on the track down and in place (give us a mini cheer!!!!). In an odd turn of events, I was the first to track. For anyone who's thinking "so??", firstly fair enough, but usually bass comes after the drums have been recorded, which only happens after a rough guide track has been established (in our history of recording anyway!). That just goes to show you how hard Amy slayed the pre-prod demo :')
Throughout today, we've also been arranging some more exciting things for you, some even regarding certain events that are coming up hot and fast....but I've already said too much, so you'll just have to keep your notifications on for us across socials!!
Yesterday's sleeper count was a big fat 0, but fear not!! Harry came through strong for us today with a total of 3 naps! Everyone say thank you to Harry for keeping this competition alive, because so far he's the only one that's been napping (and I don't want to see any comments underneath this post highlighting how we're only on day 2 and that technically isn't a long time for me to not have had a nap- for me, yes it is hahaha).
Anyway my baby bats, Amy's about to absolutely blow us away with her guitar takes, so I'm going to love you and leave you! Don't forget to submit your questions to our inbox as we adore answering them! <3
Much love!!
Were you listening to me, Neo? Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress? 💋❤

Another test piece. If this works it'll be a crown, and I will be the queen of casting bits of dead things in bronze. I have doubts that it'll work though, but that's what tests are for anyway. I'm going to refine it a bit more before I sprue.
Vocals finished. What a week. Eric and Noelle were so present and I know they have to be as exhausted as I am. Nick and Ben came by for some photos before vocals. Anthony (Ben’s future son-in-law) was able to figure out what was wrong with my camera so we could take a photo or two.
I am so thankful for everything true, pure, noble, right and lovely. Thankful for George MacDonald and the quest we followed along with Curdie.
At the end of a record I usually say that I don’t have anything left in me and I will never do this again. Today I said, “I can’t ever do this again. This might be the best I can do.” But in my mind I knew: This experience was so life giving that maybe I could think of doing the whole thing again starting the day after tomorrow. I am exhausted but not spent. Tired but not finished. And I can not wait for you to hear. We made this record for you.
