Long Lost TTS Program: Studio ToSpeak
A long time ago Toshiba created a special online only TTS program called Studio ToSpeak and it came with a set of 10 characters. Each character had its own special and personalized voices and personalities. (Though Yukino sounds kind of like Yuzuki Yukari lmao) There are still some videos on youtube and NicoNico with them being used but their a bit low quality because of how old it actually is.
News - 2022
After many back and forth emails with Toshiba in English and Japanese i've finally gotten permission to take on ToSpeak as a new project.
Said project will be a re-imagining of the existing characters (and maybe an addition of two more in the future if i can get it up and running)
The only stipulation on was I cannot use ToSpeak (as its a trademark) and the characters would need all new art as the original artist remained anonymous and they wish for the art to not be used again.
Now i'm planning to make then TTS voices with Voicebanks for UTAU. So be on the lookout for a future announcement for voice actor tryouts.
