Getting major Sir Sly/Foster the People vibes from Vilde’s Maintain, and I’m really really digging it.

Stockholm, Sweden -- Last week, Vilde released his new record Study Dance. Take a peep at the album with “Just Visiting”, a dreamy track that has some heavy synths but soft, hazy vocals. The heavy, reverb guitar reminds me of the intro on a Spoon track the quickly turns into this numbing instrumentation, blending in with the overall tone of the song.

Elaborating on the themes behind ‘Stimuli, Savage explains: "Stimuli is the materialisation of a slight identity crisis combined with falling into an odd kind of love. It's a real mess, pretty weird, quite honest and fairly loaded. I love how it's such an accurate embodiment of everything I felt at that time. I couldn't make it again. I really wish I could remember how I came up with the time change from verse to chorus."

“The subject matter of the song is somewhat of a crammed amalgamation of ideas. Part inspired by the film ‘Ace in the Hole’, where a news reporter begins to twist events in a dark way to gain fame through his portrayal of the story. There’s some pretty bleak imagery in the lyrics, yet bits of optimism seep through too, provoking a sense of solitude, release & calm.”
