21 June 2017 ♬♪ common kings - 24/7 so i went back to the library to look for books about color history and i found a few pantone books (which i fangirled super hard over- i never knew that pantone made books omg???) but i was only able to clear one of the books so i’m going back to the library tomorrow to finish the rest (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) | 22/100 days of productivity | * a re-post because i accidentally managed to delete the previous post Σ(°ロ°)

So, with school beginning around this time for the majority of folks, I thought I’d put one of my few strengths as not just an English major but a general lover of essay-writing (wait, what-- no, you heard that right), and offer essay proofreading! Essay-writing is something many of my professors have told me I excel at; I’ve been told I write at graduate-student levels (while technically being in my second year of college) and have been recommended for my school’s honors program based on my essay-writing. And while I’m not perfect and do still make mistakes myself, I believe that I can truly help some people out who aren’t so confident in their writing and could use a second pair of eyes to look over their work!

I will proofread essays for:

Spelling errors

Grammar errors

Punctuation errors

Flow (e.g. paragraph breaks)

Repetition / Redundancy

etc.

Basically I’ll just read for anything I find that seems off and offer my suggestions on correction!!

* And you can feel free to let me know how detailed / nit-picky you’d like me to be, tbh.

So... What’s the catch?

Well... my bank account is struggling a lot right now, and beyond needing to afford college in the present, I’m desperately trying to save up money so that I can leave my current house-- which is a really toxic place for me that isn’t doing me many favors. I know a lot of us are struggling financially, and I won’t turn down a pal who’s really in need of some academic help, but I would infinitely appreciate, if in exchange for proofreading your essay, you were able to donate some money to my ko-fi account. Any money that I make through this venture will only be spent on college, grocery, and moving expenses, and nothing else.

Here is a rough guideline of costs:

1 - 4 page essays: $3 (ko-fi’s minimum)

5 - 8 page essays: $5

9 - 12 page essays: $8

13 - 20 page essays: $10

20+ page essays: let’s talk!

*** I am negotiable if you really need a proofreader and can’t match this guide!!

All I ask is that you link me to the essay via Google Docs, and make sure that I am able to add comments/suggestions. Due to the fact I work part-time and take 4 courses myself, please give me at least a week before the due date to read your essay, especially if it’s longer! If it’s a shorter essay (i.e. 1 - 4 pages), I’ll make an exception, as I should be able to read it in one sitting and get it back to you. Please just try to avoid sending me an essay the day before it’s due, because I cannot make any promises on getting to it.

16 june 2017 ♬♪ agust d - so far away (suga, jin, jk ver.) so, it's mid way my summer break, and i'm being so unproductive *whacks self* Σ(°△°|||)︴ i headed to the national library today for art reference books, and it was pretty great ( ´ ▽ ` ) | 20/100 days of productivity |

Would anyone be able and wiling to help a pal out with tips and advice on looking into relocating to another state (more specifically the other side of the country) as an adult transfer student. I’m currently in the beginning stages of researching if I’ll be able to relocate from PA to CA (San Jose / the Bay Area hopefully, but possibly San Diego instead, so if you particularly know anything about either of those areas-- e.g. reputations of schools and neighborhoods around there-- please hit me up!!!) to finish my BA and be able to teach high school English-- which, the process of becoming a teacher in CA is another thing I’d love to know about if anyone can help, because it seems different from PA’s? This is something completely new and overwhelming to me which makes me hesitant-- I never really pictured leaving where I’ve spent my entire life-- but I have a really strong urge to spread my wings and get a fresh start and be independent??

Alternatively to CA, I may look into a few other areas, so if anyone has information on these areas and/or schools there instead, I’d love to add them to my list:

Washington D.C. / Northern VA

New England
