Finally got around to stationary shopping today. I picked up a few pens at MUJI and these markers at Tiger. The small markers were only €1 and the long ones were €2 and I love the colours. They didn’t have the moleskine I wanted so I’ll have to go back later but I’m happy with what I got! :)
day 8: before and after
here’s a before and after of my japanese penmanship after six years of self-study! this is one of the very first exercises i did from my first japanese textbook circa 2012, plus the haphazard copy of it i made today (8/20/17) in about two seconds. you can see the change: my characters have gotten smaller overall, closer to the size of my english handwriting, and i now write with kanji, too (however poorly). if only 12-year-old me knew how far she’d get with 日本語 on her own!

A very busy and productive day! I rescheduled a meeting that didn’t happen… wore a super cute outfit and did some pretty awesome warm-toned eye makeup that I really liked wearing… wrote an essay for Boston U that I’ve been trying my hardest to find time for (almost finished it too!! just a couple more sentences of conclusion and then I can start trimming it down since it’s over word count)… worked on my Biology G4 Project… and managed to get through more English annotations. I love Frost but because we have to annotate, discuss, and review 12 of his poems in preparation for the IOC, I’m getting pretty sick of him pretty quickly. I’m behind by one poem, but thankfully the last one is on Wednesday so I can catch up Thursday and Friday.
My goals this week are pretty simple: finished and edit BU essay, finish 800 words of my TOK essay by Friday, make progress on my Art Comparative Study, and celebrate my momma’s 60th birthday.
I went to Starbucks after the gym to apply for some jobs and plan my week :) hope everyone had a productive Tuesday!
