Cell Phone Vocabulary In Russian ☎ Слова по теме "Телефон" 📱

Моби́льный телефо́н– mobile phone

Смартфо́н - smartphone

Стациона́рный/ дома́шний телефон – a landline phone

Nowadays Russian used to say just телефо́н or моби́льный телефон when they talk about mobile phone or smartphone. People usually don’t say смартфо́н in common speech, only when they want to determine this kind of phone from others. Very often you can hear the informal words моби́ла or моби́льник, which are also mean мобильный телефон.

Включи́ть/ вы́ключить (телефон) Turn on/turn off

Перезагрузи́ть (телефон) - Reboot

Блокиро́вка (экра́на) – (screen) Lock (n.)

Заблоки́ровать/разблоки́ровать (экран/телефон) - to lock /unlock (screen, phone)

На этом телефоне стоит блокировка (экрана) = Этот телефон заблокирован.

This phone has a (screen) lock = This phone is locked.

Отпра́вить-отправля́ть (сообщение)- Send (message)

(записать/прослушать) Голосово́е сообще́ние - (record / listen) Voice message

(написать/прочитать) Те́кстовое сообщение - (write / read) Text message

In speech Russians are usually say: сообщение, (for text messages) and голосовое or more informal - голосову́ха ( for voice messages).

-Андрей сейчас на собрании, он не сможет прослушать твою голосову́ху, лучше напиши ему.

- Хорошо, я написал ему. Надеюсь, в этот раз он ответит мне.

- I recorded a voice message for Andrey, but he did not answer me.

-Andrey is at the meeting now, he will not be able to listen to your voice message, you better write to him.

- Well, I wrote to him. Hope this time he will answer me.

Заряжа́ть/заряди́ть - To charge

Hi! I am studying russian at uni and german independently (have studied it in school previously).
