Because the weather has been so beautiful in California lately I’ve been loving sitting on the patio to study ☀️
Ya girl did it, just three exams stand between me and my bachelor’s degree. I have been super inactive on here for the last year, but I want to start posting more again. I may begin to post a little bit of a back-log of study related content that I’ve collected up from the last few months.
Right now I’m wrapping up the law school application process and I’m taking my next big step, maybe more like a leap, forward.

My desk space is cozy, but I like it like that.
There’s something really humbling about the grandness of a big university. When this is your view while walking to the library on any given day, it’s hard not to feel at least a little inspired.
This is my list of school bag essentials. I’ve chosen not to include many traditional “school supplies” because that will always vary depending on how you choose to organize your materials and what your study needs are. These are the other things that I typically cary with me on campus and recommend to others too:
Reusable water bottle and coffee mug because staying adequately hydrated and caffeinated is important for any university student. I love these two from Swell and HydroFlask because they’re insulated and relatively light to carry.
Charging cables for any electronics you carry with you because there’s nothing worse than having your phone, tablet, or laptop lose charge when you need it to study.
Hand sanitizer, lotion, and chapstick because you’ll always need them.
Headphones so you can listen to music, podcasts, or whatever you’d like in your downtime or while studying, without disturbing anyone else.
Pens or pencils: always have an extra in your bag for the annoying day that you accidentally leave your pen case on your desk.
An agenda, bujo, or other organizing notebook because a smartphone can’t do everything you can do with a pen and paper.
At least one pocketed folder to hold all of the loose papers you’ll inevitably lose otherwise.
Sunglasses because no one wants to be blinded while walking around campus on a nice day.
And a wallet or card case because carrying IDs, credit or debit cards, and transit passes is risky if they’re loose in a bag or pocket.
Other things not pictured but definitely recommended:
Umbrella- it only takes getting rained on once to learn this lesson
At least one book that you have assigned reading from so you can work on it during your breaks throughout the day
Snacks- because bringing your own is both less expensive and will save you a stop when you’re hungry and short on time
Contact solution and/or glasses cleaning cloths
Feminine products- always bring whatever works best and is most comfortable for you so you have it when you need it
A stash of medications- whatever you tend to reach for when you’re not feeling well (allergy medicine, antacid, pain relievers, decongestant, etc.)
My new favorite paper writing spot now that the weather is getting nice again ☕️
