sigh. is the Tumblr update worth it guys?

might go offline anyways so like.. ?? I don't want the new update to do some fucked up shit like AI installs or anything else

see, the thing that is annoying sbout the new tumblr update is that i can see why they're doing it

but what sucks even more is that ot's in tespinse to something no one asked gor and actually i'd rather they just set back the way it was

because now when you're on a post in the app on the secondary screen - meaning *not* on the actual dash - it goes all the way to the bottom of a smartphone screen

so i for instance can no longer easily see the back button or home button on my android phone - it's list under whatever image is on tumblr

and this means the post button is now right on top of the "back" button on my phone

moving the reblog button away from that now-occupied lower right corner of the phone is just compensating for the mess made by trying to take up space on the phone screen that tumblr DOES NOT need

Symbiosis Update (08/24)

Yup! I actually managed to keep to a specific date for an update, never again, it’s too stressful having a set release date.

Anywho, I am not happy with it, not in the slightest. At some point, I will be making serious revisions and additions. Next on my list will be getting a start on chapter one and adding some side stuff to the prologue. I am also fairly certain everything should be working with no issues.

Who Else Hates The New Duolingo Update?

Yeah. So simplified you can’t learn anything.

It’s slower to move through, reduced tips, completely disorganized, and has also reduced vocabulary, phrases & sentences—> meaning all your hard worked progress on this removed content is gone for good.

Duolingo has over 500 million users. This update is only to ‘attract’ more people, and add to those numbers. What about all your current devoted users? You’re prioritizing nonexistent users over existing ones. This is just to boost hour downloads.

I’ve been learning French, Japanese, and some other ones on duolingo for four years. All gone. Not completely, but may as well be. The new format stripped all of my hard work in content that was removed. The new format is chaotic, and it LOOKS neat, but it’s far from it. I tried to give it a chance, by starting over, and working through it in order on what it showed I already unlocked in the original format, but I always lost my spot because none of the ‘levels’ are labeled. You have to click on all of them individually to see what content they say it covers, which is often the same caption as another level that’s in another random spot.
