      FORSAKE HUMANITY ? FOR HIM ? never would such a request be made. yet his extended stay with the OPPOSING ENTITY created further problems for him. problems that would not be easily dismissed. the longer they remain together , the closer the lines between life & death are blurred. humanity begs for finality , & yet they PRAY for more time. time with their loved ones.

      WOULD IT BE SO SELFISH OF HIM TO KEEP HER ? would it be such a crime to hold death close & allow the humans a little more time ? everyone wins. though , can she survive without the collection of SOULS ? would he do more harm than good ? does he care ?

      FINGERTIPS GRAZE OVER PALE SKIN , form taken for temporary use. hands are cupping features , dark hues meet. he cannot imagine life without death. the more he stays , the less he cares for humanity’s foolish antics. feigned lips press to connect with the PALE HORSE. it’s electric ! if only for a moment. foreheads join as their lips part. just barely.

                 WAS IT STRANGE that ben liked people who looked like they would hold a job scanning in books and re-shelfing them ? he liked people like teachers, librarians, and waitresses. they were always so nice to him, always made his heart beat a skip faster. temporary love, he called it. he stared at the woman just outside the candy shop as he sat on the bench, tucking away his candy buttons he had just purchased. he couldn’t tell, but it seemed like she was staring back at him. giving it a chance, he gave a small wave, just to see. // @suavismortem

      THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME. nor would it be the last. in which the terrible trio ruined another celebration. it seemed simple enough. a BIRTHDAY PARTY. easy. quick. not too many people. just family. sometimes he wonders what he should really construe as family. every time they finally LEAVE a giant mess remains. food all over the place. there are still critters running around on his floor. not that he necessarily minds the animals. they are more welcome than the OTHERS.

      ❛ I THINK YOUR SISTERS LIKE OUR PLACE. ❜ casual conversation as what seems like the millionth piece of cracker ? -- is picked from the ground. SHE deserves to relax & he’s implored her to do so. taking care of this takes time , but he’s nearing the end of his chore. a few moments & he’s plopping down on the couch beside her. arm wrapping around the back of the couch , around HER SHOULDERS.

      FEET SIT UP UPON THE COFFEE TABLE. just a moment to relax. breathe. it’s short - lived. single , miniscule critter scurrying across the living room. ah – it’ll be fine. he’ll catch it later. ❛ just LEAVE IT alone diane. ❜ it’s near a mumble , knowing the girl far too well.
