Hey 안녕안녕~! I have a question for you. How do you deal with dry, frizzy hair? Like, when it’s really really dry and brittle and insanely tangled?
My hair used to be very soft, shiny and bouncy even without specific hair care treatments. I would just wash it with shampoo and conditioner and that’s it. But then, everything changed ever since I started coloring my hair in 2012. I got so hooked with home dyes so I would dye my hair like every month! Since then, my hair got really dry and frizzy even after using conditioner.
I started using Argan Oil for my hair in 2014; when I realized my hair’s getting worse and split ends kept on showing up. I'm not always particular with the brand as long as it’s 100% Argan Oil. A few months back, I got myself Organic Argan Oil from Suaviss. This is one of the premium skincare products that you can get from Beautylab Whitening (available in their skincare center at BGC and online). If you guys remember, Beautylab Whitening in BGC is where I get my full body treatment.
PACKAGING:
Now the bottle truly gives me Efficascent oil feels. kkkk~ It’s quite heavy and the writings at the back of it are all in Korean. No worries though because the box has English instructions.
The bottle contains 100ml of 100% Organic Argan Oil which I can say is pretty hefty amount. When it comes to oil, you don’t really use too much. A few drops should do its wonders! And since we’re talking about “drops”, the bottle has a stopper so you won’t have to worry about nasty leaks.
WHY IS ARGAN OIL GOOD FOR THE HAIR?
Argan oil is rich in essential nutrients that the hair needs to repair itself. It boosts cell production and increases moisture retention to keep the hair strong and healthy. It’s an exceptional natural emollient that provides superior hydration to the hair and scalp to prevent frizz and breakage.
Actually, Argan Oil is good for the skin too. But since I already have products that take care of my skin, I only use the Suaviss 100% Argan Oil for my hair.
HOW I USE IT:
One drop goes a very long way. I have medium-length hair and I use 3 to 4 drops to cover my entire hair with Argan Oil. What I do is warm it up a bit on my palm and massage it on my hair. What’s left on my hand goes to my scalp. I massage it onto my hair for like 2 to 3 (?) minutes. Well, I don’t really keep track of the time since I do it while I’m watching a drama or something. 2~3 minutes is only a rough estimate but I’m sure you get the idea.
I do this at night, at least twice a week. I just let it sit on my hair overnight. To avoid getting all the oil on my face and my pillow, I wear a soft fabric headband on and tuck all of my hair in it. Pretty much like a shower cap but with soft, breathable fabric. I wash it off the next morning.
So it’s gonna look really gross in the morning (refer to the morning selfie on the left kk~), but I swear, it’s all worth it! Oh, and don’t worry, it may look oily and gross but it won’t smell like anything. This organic Argan Oil from Suaviss does not smell weird like most organic oils. kk~
MY THOUGHTS:
While washing the oil off my hair in the morning, I can immediately feel that it’s much much softer. It’s like the feeling you get when you wash off a good conditioner off your hair. Upon blow-drying, my hair is very easy to comb as there are no crazy tangles that need some wild tugging. It also makes my hair look very shiny and bouncy even if I just let it air-dry. It’s a 5/5 for me!
I really love my hair after my Argan Oil overnight treatment! It cuts styling time to half so I can basically just let my hair dry and go. My hair’s naturally wavy so without proper care and conditioning, it’ll be all over the place. With Suaviss’ Organic Argan Oil, my waves have more volume and texture to it even if I don’t use any hair volumizers.

It's pretty weird how my skin is super dry and patchy these days despite this hot and humid Pilipinas weather! Because of this, I tried to incorporate Argan oil to my daily skincare routine. This one works so well in making my hair soft.. I hope it has great effects for my skin too! By the way, I got these online! @beautylabwhiteningph now lets you shop for their organic skincare products through www.beautylabwhitening.com.. Will share more about this on the blog this weekend! #Suaviss #beautylabwhiteningph #skincare
Latest Whitening Trend: Beauty Lab Whitening By Suaviss
Beauty Lab Whitening is the first specialized whitening clinic in the world and was first conceived and perfected in South Korea by Suaviss in 2009. The brand has since then launched multiple partner clinics around Asia, including Philippines – the first branch located at Bonifacio Stopover, BGC. I was invited to check out something so-called “red light” technology, which is the core treatment of the place, and hence for the love of beauty (specifically the skin), I went.
Spoiler alert: I came back. And I’m bound for my third next week.
It's pretty hard to miss the white, almost shiningly bright façade of Beauty Lab Whitening when you find yourself in the area, its overall style is clean and spacious and has an ultra luxury feel, but I guess the promise of being a natural, non-invasive, and one-stop skin whitening place makes it even more eye-catching.
It only offers two whitening solution treatments: Full Body and Facial, both uses the Red Light Collagen Therapy. The former, which was what I experienced, is a 4-step treatment that helps achieve a visibly whiter skin after the initial session and improved clarity, tone, and overall texture in the long run.
Sounds ordinary and I-heard-it-before at this point? Let’s continue then…
The procedure begins with exchanging all your articles of clothing with a bathrobe, disposable underwear and slippers, and removing all traces of makeup and dirt yourself with Suaviss-exclusive makeup removers (I love the Colmado Blueberry Cleansing Milk!). After those is the official Step 1, Exfoliation. To be honest, the process is like the usual whole body scrub at spas, nothing fancy. You lay there naked (!!!) and the pleasant staff will do everything for you. However, the product they use is a different story; it’s like a mask-type substance that is not gritty at all. So it cleans you from forehead to the tips of your toes just as much without the uncomfortable abrasiveness.
After the clogged pores and the dead skin cells were rightly attacked, the magical part comes next – Step 2, Pre-conditioning Cream Application. Well almost magical as the white cream has a really powerful whitening ability that hinders the formulation of melanin cells. It’s applied to the whole body, concentrating on problem areas. For me, these areas are my back and cheeks due to acne scarring. (Note: Yes, you’re still naked during this part. You’ll be naked until Step 4. So just relax and be comfortable.)
Step 3, the R-630 Collagen Machine is that refrigerator-looking equipment that emits red light that activates skin’s natural collagen cells through the cream applied in Step 2, and leaves it more receptive to product absorption. How high-tech and oh so cool! I stayed for 15 minutes inside, and though it looks intimidating especially for claustrophobic people, it’s actually not bad. You may plug in your phone and do little dances while waiting, which I may or may not did. I did.
Next is another round of cream application. Step 4, Post-conditioning is to wrap everything up and to lock in the benefits received for long-lasting effects. Think of it as a barrier that protects your post-treated body as you leave the clinic.
I know what you're thinking. How was the result? Almost instantly, my glowing and radiant skin is undeniable. Darks spots and unevenness on my arms were greatly reduced as well (after my second session). So hurray for clearer and brighter skin, all within an hour and a half. My favorite part? No downtime at all! I even went to a press launch after.
Now you know why Beauty Lab Whitening is taking up a spot on my "favorite pampering places" list; you have to try it at least once! If you don't take my word for it (why??), you can walk-in there, look around, and ask the experts, but if you do (yasss!), mention my code BLWKIM10 when you schedule and enjoy a 10% discount from the prices pictured above. For more information, contact Beauty Lab Whitening on Facebook, Instagram and Phone: 546-4601.
It’s the weekend! How are you going to pamper yourself?
