after dinner, my friend and i decided to visit this famous and popular soy dessert shop for some good soy beancurd. the place was completely packed and there’s also a queue. we waited for a while before getting a seat, lots of customers decided to do take outs instead.
the soy beancurd is indeed super smooth, and it was such a big bowl as well, very reasonably priced. i liked how they used the traditional bowls and the whole store is also using old style furniture and decorations, which is cool. i thought rattan chairs was only found at my home, but they have them here at the shop too.
i chose to have the beancurd with brown sugar which is very fragrant, it’s sweet but not too much, and my friend had hers with ginger syrup which has a really strong smell as well, so if you like ginger, this would definitely be enjoyable.
the store also have soya drink, softserve and some other soy desserts, very simple and straight forward menu and all of the items are not pricey at all, and the staff works in a very efficient way too, which helps to move the queue faster. definitely check the place out if you like some soy desserts.

wanting something cheesy few weeks back, we decided to give this place a go, got attracted to the make-your-own pizza option. their menu has mostly japanese food stuff and some fusion ones.. lots of variety.
we went for a hot and spicy taiwan sausage pizza with onsen tamago and salted egg yolk squid and mushroom pizza (my own creation). both were personal size and the crust is thin and crispy, the way i like it. both of the pizzas taste good, love the combinations, the salted egg yolk sauce is unique, flavorful but not too overpowering, squid is nice~ onsen tamago is also lovely on crispy crust, ehehe.
a good place to visit for some fun pizza since you can make any pizza you want from the ingredients available. and the prices are pretty reasonable too.

dinner at this japanese restaurant last week with friends, the restaurant was quite empty when we were there and even until peak dinner hours.
ordered chawanmushi, salmon shioyaki, hotate mentaiyaki, sashimi moriawase and salmon ochazuke. hehe, trying different things to see if the food is worth the price.
overall, we find it very ordinary, the food is not really good compared to many japanese restaurants out there, but the pricing here is very expensive. the best dish out of all is the hotate mentaiyaki which is quite big and fresh.
don’t think we will be back anytime soon since there’s other better choices of japanese restaurants nearby the area. i am surprised that this place is able to survive with so many competition.
