I have Anything by Adrianne Lenker on it bc that whole song I feel like encapsulates our character’s journey. The first verse reminds me of the summer lake house chapter!

i put the playlist i put together under the cut, if you're interested to see it! i have them in a strange order, but i tried to make it follow the reader's journey each episode through the songs. some of them are kind of freaky and unsettling, and some are sad (like anything) but it's to match the crazy shit she has to go through. sorry i don't have a spotify link, i'm a weirdo who uses youtube music LOL (i wouldn't be against making a public playlist if requested, though). but when i eventually get to sending out chapters for the next book, would including music for each chapter be something you guys are interested in?

HAHAHA i’ve kinda hinted at quite a few of the characters being interested in the reader, so yeah, gene is definitely in the cards!! i didn’t really mean to, but honestly garroth has naturally become a main love interest because of how close he is to the reader and how caring he is to her!!

hii!!! sorry if the tag is misleading or confusing! it’s labeled xreader because it’s a reader insert fic, however there’s no romantic endings to subject 3. in the next books coming up, there might be some romance, but all of the relationships with the reader in subject 3 are platonic focused!

HAHA yeah!! i really liked the dark undertones of everyone’s backstory in jess’s writing, and i wanted to make it a little more scary and terrifying to think about! she obviously makes content for kids (~11yr old me at the time) so obviously she made everything a little more lighthearted, and i wanted to give some more attention and justice to the crazy writing she was doing!! anyways, i’m glad you liked it and liked HTGAB!!
