Dragon Age AU

Dragon Age AU Stats:  Current Name: Aphrodite Ghilain Race: Elf Class: Mage ( Arcane Warrior, Shapeshifter, and Keeper specializations in Origins & Awakening, Necromancer in Inquisition ) Most Recent Clan: Ghilain

Appearance:  Aphrodite has black hair with a bluish tint, bright green eyes--impossibly green, some might say, with a hint of blue. She has a medium skin tone, against which she has incredibly dark black (fake) Vallaslin ‘honoring’ Mythal. Her ears are rather large, long, and prominent, making them stick out quite a bit. She stands at about 5′4″/1.63 meters tall. 

Pre-Game History: Aphrodite is a forgotten Elvhen goddess from the history lost to time. She chooses to live with the Dalish clans and attempt to help them piece together lore through what information and ruins she can lead them to, careful not to give away anything they cannot find evidence for. She maintains the appearance of Vallaslin to keep up the appearance of being Dalish, but knowing the history of them, isn’t particularly happy about it. Periodically, she leaves the clans to be alone, eventually, with the passage of time, joining another. 

Game Involvement: 

Aphrodite is a figure present throughout the games, always lingering near where important changes are happening in the world. 

First, she appears as a companion to the Warden throughout the events of Origins. Years before the start of the game, she left clan Ghilain, claiming to be frustrated with their treatment of Dalish lore. She’ll join the group as they leave the Brecilian forest, although the clan the Warden and her companions encounter there is not her most recent clan. She will be most friendly with an elvhen Warden and Zevran, but won’t be adverse to warming up to other companions. 

After the events of the game, she ends up with a new clan for a while until she hears about the rising tension in Kirkwall, where she decides to travel. Rather than trying to prevent the war, however, she attempts to help incite it; she’s of the belief, like Anders, that the only way anything will get better for mages is to have a system overhaul. 

In Inquisition, much like some other Origins companions, she may appear for a set of quests before leaving again. Most notably, she acts rather odd around Solas, claiming to have met him years ago only once, but won’t say when or where.
