Best Sonata Arctica song tournament!

Welcome to the 10th of 32 tournaments for symphonic and power metal artists. In this tournament we're looking for the best Sonata Arctica song!

Rules

Any song can be submitted as long as it was released under the name of Sonata Arctica. Whoever was part of the band at that time does not matter. Songs released by solo (ex) members of the band are not allowed in this tournament.

Collaborations with other artists are fine (but mention this on the form)!

You can submit multiple songs, but use a clean form for each submission.

Do not submit the same song more than once (this is spamming and can get your submissions disqualified)

If you want a specific version of a song that is not the original album version, specify this on the submission form. This way, it would theoretically be possible to have a poll with the same song album version vs live version (for example). However, I don't expect to see a lot of this. (Only do this if you think this version is so much better than the original).

Yaaay, the Clones for the Holidays gift exchange is here! I was assigned @edenemy-art’s wish list, and it was frankly adorable. I’m admittedly more familiar with TCW than TBB, so at first, I just considered doing something of Rex and Cody–but you CAN’T put a little kid like Omega on a wish list that also has things like “hot cocoa” and “stories by the fire,” and not expect me to jump at that recipe for cuteness. So here they are! A nice happy moment after they’ve all escaped the Empire, and are having a cozy visit. Cody at first wasn’t sure he’d be that good of a storyteller, but one look at Omega’s sparkly eyes, and he just couldn’t say no–his rich voice lulling them all with tales through the evening. 💖 (Wrecker is clearly enthralled too!)

Anime Awakenings Submissions Open!

Ever see an animanga character and think, 'i want their gender but we're not gonna unpack that rn'? Ever watch or read animanga as a kid where an uber cool anilady or anifellow got you feelin' some type o' way, while still adamantly insisting you're straight (🤨)? Did you later realize that is NOT the case? And credit the aforementioned animanga character(s) in helping you realize this? This is the place for you. Anime awakenings tourney! Where we pit anime characters against one another who helped us realize our queerness!

Things to know:

I say 'animanga' for simplicity's sake, but I accept a broader range of East Asian mediums as long as the character is presented in what can be understood as an 'anime' style (I realize this can sound reductive, but I've found people understand the guidelines the best if they're put this way). So visual novels, manhua, manhwa, donghua, etc. are also allowed. If you aren't sure if a character qualifies, just submit them anyway and I will make the call.

I discourage negative propaganda. Let's be civil to one another and respect that the way one person may feel about a character can be very different than how you feel about them.

I do these polls for fun. They're not super serious! That being said, I hope you can all have fun with me, reminiscing and gushing about characters who have had an important impact on your lives. :)

I will keep submissions open until I feel I have enough for a good-sized bracket. Let's get started!
