She shoves the magazine into Luke’s hands, watching him eagerly as she awaits his reaction.

Luke’s almost a little hesitant to look at it, but at Ahsoka’s insistent eyebrow wiggles he finally takes in the cover, jaw dropping at what’s waiting for him.

Luke is honestly speechless because there he is, sitting on a chair shirtless in a beautiful pink tulle skirt, smile sweet but strong as he looks straight at the camera, right on the front cover of Queer magazine.

Because you see, meeting the amazingly good-looking new addition to their little side of town who just so happens to work at the sex store wouldn’t be an issue in anyone else’s case. But Luke Skywalker happens to be a sex-averse ace through and through and while he is extremely gay and a hopeless romantic, that is one thing he simply will not compromise on.

So, yeah. To say he’s doomed is a very big understatement.

I’m so excited for The Royal Engagement of Luke Skywalker (And The Chaos That Ensues Thereafter) but I really really want to know more about he Chile tourist one!!

Ask and ye shall receive!

So, the plot is very loosely based on the premise of “My Life In Ruins”. Din and Cobb work a bus tour across Chile together, Cobb being the charismatic tour guide and Din being the bus driver.

Luke is a tourist from the states in desperate need of a change of scenery. It’s been a year since his flying accident that took his hand and career in one fell swoop. He’s been staying with Leia and Han while he tries to get back on his feet. He and Cobb grew up together and Cobb’s been trying to get him to fly through to Chile for years. Now is as good a time as any.

What follows is a slow burn across the beautiful landscapes of Chile that is shipped by everyone on the bus. The Grogu babysitter’s club makes up the rest of the tour bus so of course there’s gonna be plenty banter and shenanigans and other ships in the background. I’ve never been to Chile but I’m defs researching the hell out of all the locations I’ve chosen so I hope I can do it justice. We just get so many fics where Din is Latino who lives in the States but I wanted to switch things up a bit and include more of Pedro Pascal’s heritage in Din’s backstory hence this plot bunny coming to life. So thank you for showing an interest!

And just as a little extra, here is a snippet from The Royal Engagement of Luke Skywalker ;)

Noticing Luke’s little confused frown, Pre sneers at him from where he’s seated across the table. “Can’t keep up?”

“I’m afraid to say I’m not as proficient yet in Mando’a as I am in Sign,” Luke says, aiming for the diplomatic answer. “But I am learning.”

“Ah, kaysh mirsh solus,” Pre says to some of the others closest to him, earning a few snickers.

“Perhaps, but one brain cell is better than none,” Luke rebuffs in perfect Mando’a. If there’s one thing he’s learnt in his time spent in Keldabe in Paz’s company, it’s witty remarks to less-witty insults.

Pre’s expression turns into something hilariously aghast, his supporters sporting matching jaw-dropped reactions.

Grinning at the shocked and amused faces, Luke digs heartily into their next course—a spicy tiingular stew with an extra kick.

“I’m surprised with how well you handle our spices,” Almec remarks lightly.

“Growing up on Tatooine, you learn to appreciate a bit of spice in your meal,” Luke says with a wink.

“Ah,” says a minister whose name escapes him, “so you’re the one who was raised as the farmer.”

“You say that like it’s a bad thing?” Luke poses, brow arched in challenge.

Sabine smirks into her spoonful of stew, a few others chuckling at their comrade’s slip up as well.
