Growing up in a wealthy family with caring mother, a loving father and a twin-brother made it seem like her life was close to perfect. She had everything she wished for and yet she ended up being the troubled youngster that caused disruption in their perfect daily life. - At least, that was what it looked like from the outside.
It was true that she looked for trouble. Her parents often complained about the way she acted and school meetings were often in order to discuss her behaviour. It had been that way for a while now, but it hadn't always been like that. The outside world judged her and yet, no one knew what happened behind closed doors, no one knew how she grew up. Lily no longer cared, things were fine as they were. Pissing off her parents was something that, at this point, pleased her rather than worried her.
Lily was one of the popular kids in the school, one might say she was the one on top of the social ladder. She was seemingly confident, a typical asshole and guys fell at her feet. She dated one of the jocks and with that, almost filled the role of a typical popular girl. However, she didn't spent her time in school bullying other people, nor did she care much about looks. She didn't like people much and that showed in her behaviour, she told the truth, even when it was harsh, but she'd never look to talk people down.
A new school year, the year before graduation; Lily was dressed in a school uniform as she was supposed to. Her hair was tucked in one braid and she wore red lipstick and light mascara. Their second lesson was history, not something she was particularly looking forward to. Not to get it wrong, Lily was super smart and she knew hell of a lot about history, it was a subject she loved, but she was still stuck in her holiday modes and that was something that was going to last for a few days. Besides, she hardly ever spoke during class and only answered questions if she was asked individually.
She could hear the boys whisper about their teacher, causing a mere roll of her eyes. Boys could be so hormonal, it was actually quite pathethic.
